We started looking into some more warm up exercises to be able to add to our warm up and I decided that I decided I needed another breath control exercise and I found this one:
I think this exercise is very good for breath control because you have to sustain your breath though a long phrase whilst your diaphragm is engaged.
I would like to improve my vocal range so I'm also going to add this exercise to my warm up:

This is a good exercise because it is a soft vowel and you are not adding on any contestants, which makes it easier to go higher, therefore pushing your range. Its something very simple that you could add in your warm up when your doing scales.
To work more on my range. I am also going to add in an an arpeggio at the end of my warm up, This will give me a broader note range when warming up so that there is a gap between the notes, this will also help me with my pitching. Pitching is important because some times you can start on an odd note or have to jump from a harmony and back to a melody. I have to do this a lot with my theatre group, so I think that working on this exercise will really benefit me.
